Meet Vivian

Vivian is a St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church parishioner and says the Lord brought her to the Villas. For over a year now, she has been pouring her heart into her role, dedicating three or four days a week to positively impacting the lives of the participants in our Life Skills Program. Under the direction of our Life Skills manager, Vivian arrives early to set up the classroom, ensuring that everything is ready for the day ahead. She does a lot of role-playing activities to simulate real-life situations. By engaging the participants in these scenarios, she helps them develop practical skills they can apply outside the classroom.

Vivian's connection with the class is truly special. She cherishes the trust they place in her and reciprocates that trust wholeheartedly. This mutual trust creates a nurturing and supportive learning environment where the participants can flourish and grow.

It is important to recognize Vivian's diverse background and experience. As a Army Veteran who served in Trenton, New Jersey in the 60s, she brings a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge to the Life Skills program. Her military service demonstrates her resilience, dedication, and commitment to serving others. Additionally, over twenty years as a Post Office employee have honed her interpersonal and organizational skills, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

To show their appreciation for Vivian's service, the LifeSkills participants recently honored her and other veterans during the Veteran's Day ceremony held last month. This recognition acknowledges her contributions and serves as a reminder of the impact she has made on their lives.

Vivian's involvement in Magnify's Life Skills program is a testament to her generosity and desire to make a difference. Her commitment, knowledge, and passion shine through in all she does, making her an irreplaceable team member. The participants are fortunate to have such a caring and dedicated volunteer working alongside them, fostering their personal growth and enriching their lives.
